Nestled within 60+ acres of lush woodlands, meandering creek crossings, and expansive fields, Cedar Creek Ranch offers a picturesque retreat just a stone’s throw away from Starved Rock State Park, Matthiessen State Park, and Grand Bear Lodge, all within a 10-12 mile radius. Located just east of Cedar Point, Illinois, our ranch is a haven for nature enthusiasts and adventure seekers alike.

History:

In June of 2000, Cedar Creek Ranch was born when Paul Williams acquired over 60 acres of pristine land. Paul’s journey with horses began in 1998 when he purchased his first horse, “Vegas.” This initial bond ignited Paul’s passion for equines, leading him to establish boarding stables and grazing land for horses by 2000. Recognizing the desire of many to experience horseback riding without the responsibility of ownership, Paul expanded his offerings to include public trail riding in 2007.

Through unwavering dedication and the support of his family and friends, Paul worked tirelessly to develop scenic riding trails throughout the ranch, with plans to continue expanding and enhancing the trail network in the future. In late 2010, Cedar Creek Ranch introduced yet another dimension to its offerings with the addition of The GunSmoke Grill, serving up the Illinois Valley area’s finest burgers, fried chicken, and BBQ delights. Whether you’re craving a hearty meal or simply seeking refreshment, our full-service restaurant and bar provide the perfect pit stop for hungry adventurers.

Come experience the beauty of nature at its best, whether you’re exploring our scenic trails on horseback or indulging in a delicious meal at The GunSmoke Grill. Your adventure awaits at Cedar Creek Ranch!
